About Buqi For Horses

Buqi is originally a health and healing system for people which has been developed for horses by Jo Osborne; a horsewoman, instructor and therapist. The journey of Buqi for horses has evolved organically which included a research period  in 2003 and is proving its practical worth in two main areas for the well-being of the horse:

Buqi is a very safe and gentle therapy. It works with the system of the horse in a natural way by supporting and cultivating the in-built natural self-healing mechanisms and by working with the subtle energy system. The horse is a physical, emotional and energetic entity which conventional healing modalities don't fully consider and mostly don't have a language for.

Horses have proven to respond well with Buqi and they have shown to gain a lot of benefit; we know this both by what we see during the session and by the effects that we can feel or see during ridden work. There are a number of classical responses that can be seen during the course of a session from which we can make varying interpretations. There are a growing number of case studies that will be added to this site as time goes on.

The Buqi Practitioner is working with subtle energy forces, has a refined sensing function for reading 'energetic information' and uses a vibrational healing force to generate deep relaxation, clear binqi (or negative factors) from the system and to break the double vicious circle of disease.

Blue is our very own talented Dressage Cob who  has had regular fortnightly Buqi sessions for over a year; the effects have been so positive not only in contributing to her ongoing success but for her personal well-being and in promoting and consolidating the very deep connection between her and her owner; for the delight of both. 

The work of Buqi for horses is ongoing and its growing local popularity is due to the fact that discerning owners are able to prove to themselves the difference that Buqi makes.
